This is how our "special" day unfolded ...
Domenick and I went to a Spring Training Game, Mets vs Braves at Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie. We sat right behind the home plate end of the Braves dugout. Great seats, thanks to Andy from The Stuart News.
It was a little too chilly to wear Bonanno's so I didn't capture a photo for "Where in the World ..." Before we headed to the game we had to make 2 "MUST" stops ...
First stop: To get a cigar for Domenick at our local Tabacconist in downtown Stuart.
His pride and joy ... the Jeep.
Next Stop: Wheatgrass Juice for moi.
(Side Note: Since we've turned 50, I've been watching what I eat and have been working on eliminating all processed Sugars, Salt, Dairy, and more ... two years ago I gave up Coffee and Meat). It's always a challenge.
Off we go ...
Traditions Field is about 20 miles North/West of our Store
It was the 7th inning stretch. I was singing "Take me out to the ball game"
One Die-hard Braves Fan ...
For those of you who can't wait for season to begin, here are a few shots of the game ...
I can't tell you who is up at bat or even the final score of the game.
We had to leave in the 8th inning to make sure Rippy was walked. When we left it was a pretty close game ...

... but I do know who's sitting in the dugout ... Mets Manager, Willie Randolph.
One of Domenick's all time Yankee favorites.
Later that evening Domenick took me to "Gazebo Cafe" in Jupiter. We arrived a little early so we sat at the bar until our table was ready.
Domenick had the beef tenderloin and I ordered their famous Fillet of Sole flown in from Holland. It was prepared over a fire in front of our table, the bones were removed and the plate set beautifully with assorted veggies. I passed up the rich sauce they had to drizzle over the fish and went with squeezed lemon juice. It was out of this world.
My dessert was fresh blueberries, blackberries and Raspberries, and again I passed up the rich sauce for dipping. Domenick had delicious looking cream puffs topped with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with dark semi sweet chocolate over the whole thing. Yummy.
It was a fantastic French restaurant recommended by one of our good friends (and a great customer, who just so happens to be Wyndi's Mom). We would definately go back and we also recommend it highly.
That's all folks!
The end of a perfect day.

We've Got a New High Heel Style
It's called the "Cuban" and it's the same as the 1" wooden heel, but tapered.
It won't be on the website until I can update, so if you are interested, select the high wooden heel for $10.00 and in "special instructions" write "cuban" tapered heel.

The Website's got a New Look!
If you haven't noticed, we changed things up a bit on our website. We moved all our "Where in the World are your Bonanno's?" pics and blurbs to the web.
I love it! http://www.sbsandals.com/
Tell me what you think. If you've sent a photo in at one point, be sure to look for yourself ...
Don't forgot, when travelling, if you have your Bonanno's with you, snap a pic and send it to me.

Clever Gift Giving
This was such a cute gift presentation we just had to share it.
Jane gave Mary Patti a Bonanno Gift Certificate for Christmas ... but Jane didn't stop there.
She cut out sandal patterns and constructed the shoe, drew stitching around the insole, added bronze magic marker whipstiching to a silver base, taped some bronze glitter paper to the backs of each port hole and for the final touch she added a little foam heel.
She taped the GC inside the paper cutout and placed in a shoe box.
Clever!

Meet the Bonanno Signature Store Crew
Please welcome Wyndi our newest employee and Stuart Store Manager. Wyndi has great retail experience, and has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware in Clothing and Textile Merchandising. She's married to a wonderful man named Evan and they have an adorable little son, Benjamin.
Domenick and I couldn't be more thrilled to have Wyndi on board to run the store. She gives us the ability to go to apparel shows and a much needed breather a couple days a week.

Johanna (right), our "fashionista", is a ball of energy who always makes our store displays look amazing. She is seasonal and has been with us for 2 seasons now.

Kelly (left) who was one of our first employees back in 2005, fills in during Christmas break and is off to The University of Florida. Marilyn (center), who is always a joy to be around and is great at helping pick out the perfect outfit for any occasion, is also seasonal and has been with us for 3 seasons. Wyndi (left).

HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!!

Where in the World are your Bonanno's?
Yellowstone, Wyoming
Here's my Bonanno's as I discover my new "home" state, Wyoming. My first visit to Yellowstone in September was just fantastic. I actually laid my eyes on a grizzly bear and a cub along with many other animal species in their natural habitats. Take care all and have a wonderful holiday.

Lost and Found
Domenick was at the Palm Beach International Airport yesterday picking up his family who just flew in from New Jersey. He was down by the Baggage Check waiting for their luggage when he noticed a small plastic baggie on the conveyor belt. It was still there after all the luggage had been picked up, so he took a closer look and saw that it was filled with Bonanno Flowers Sets! Too wild.
